Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) / Visitor Visa

Canada welcomed a record-breaking number of 20.8 Million international tourists during Canada 150 in the year 2017, surpassing the record set in 2002 of 20.1 Million. Every year approx. 8 Million people visit Canada to enjoy the many business or pleasure opportunities our country has to offer.

Depending on where you come from and the reason for your visit, you will need to meet certain entry requirements. Visitors to Canada, including tourists, students, and workers, may need a Temporary Resident Visa (TRV) from Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) to enter Canada. The Federal Government of Canada has also determined that some foreign countries do not need a TRV to enter Canada on a visit, we refer to these countries as visa-exempt countries.
