Canada Launches New Immigration Stream for Ukrainians

Canada has now launched a new immigration stream for Ukrainians.

As a result of Russia invading Ukraine, Canada is helping Ukrainians who want to live, work or study in Canada for up to three years.  Canada is waiving government application fees and allowing Ukrainians to apply for three year open work permits.

Ukrainians must still apply for a Canadian visa if they are outside Canada and if they do not already have a visa.  They can apply for a study permit or open work permit application at the same time.  Government application fees are being waived.

If the Ukrainian applicant does not have a current passport, Canada will consider waiving that requirement on a case by case basis.

Employers are also encouraged to use their Employer Job Bank account to notify Service Canada if they would like to hire Ukrainians to fill any labour shortages.

Pathway to Canada Immigration is experienced at helping applicants obtain Canadian visas, study permits and work permits.  Its sister company FF Recruitment also offers licensed foreign worker recruiting services.
