Agri-Food Immigration Program

On May 15, 2020, Canada launched a new pilot program for Agri-Food Immigration. It will provide an easier transition to Canadian permanent residence for retail butchers, industrial butchers, food processing labourers, harvesting labourers, general farm workers, and farm supervisors and specialized livestock workers.

They must have an indeterminate (or permanent) job offer from a Canadian employer in one of those jobs. They must have at least one year of outside Canada work experience in an eligible occupation in processing meat products, raising livestock, or growing mushrooms or greenhouse crops.

The applicant must have completed high school (or higher) education and be able to score Canadian Language Benchmark level 4 in English or French.

This new program could be very helpful for agricultural workers who have not otherwise had many permanent immigration options.

To express interest in this or another program or to see if you qualify, please email info@pathwaytocanada.ca
